How to pause offers?

The pausing (putting on hold) functionality is only available if inventory management is enabled in global settings for offers in the Amazon FBM channel.

Putting an offer on hold means setting the inventory to 0 for the SKU assigned to the listing. It is important to remember that on Amazon the stock is provided for the SKU - multiple listings on different marketplaces share the same stock when they have the same SKU. When you select an offer to put on hold, the system checks if there are other offers with the same SKU. These offers will be visible in the offer pausing window.

If among the offers with the selected SKU there is at least one offer in the 'processing' status, it will not be possible to put them on hold. You will then have to wait until processing is complete and then put the offers on hold.

Offers that have been put on hold will be marked with the following status:

  • offers that have been listed on Amazon (active, out of stock, listing error) will have a status of 'on hold'
  • offers that have not been issued (ready to send, incomplete) - will have the status 'incomplete' with an additional sub-status ‘sku on hold'.
  • if among the withheld listings are those that were previously in the status not found or 'multiple listings found', their status will not change. However, if a match is found or an ASIN is selected for such a listing, it will move to the 'incomplete' status with the ‘sku on hold’ sub-status.

If a new offer is created and the SKU assigned to it was previously put on hold, such an offer will get the status 'incomplete' with the sub-status ' sku on hold'.

The offer can be activated by selecting one of the offers with the SKU on hold. This action activates all listings with that SKU. Listings already on Amazon for which stock is available will be activated by sending a new stock update to Amazon. Listings not yet sent to Amazon will have a status of 'ready to list' (if there is stock and there is a possibility to set and send a price). If there is no stock or the ability to send a price, the listing will still be in the status 'incomplete' but will not the the ‘sku on hold’ status.
