Offer status

What is offer status?

The status of offers refers to the status of an offer during the sales process. It is determined by the actions performed by the user and feedback from the marketplace.

The diagram below illustrates what the offer sales process is and why it is important to properly manage offers based on the status they are in.

The arrows in the diagram above illustrate one scenario of status changes. In practice, listings can change statuses in both directions, e.g. from active to processing or if the marketplace removes the listing the active listing can change status to ‘sent inactive’.

5 main groups of listing statuses

The main status groups are indicated by the corresponding colour on the left-hand side of each row.

WHAT TO DO

ProcessingDenote offers for which the Nethansa Platform performs some operation. This can be a search on the marketplace, calculation of the initial price or sending to the marketplace. These are intermediate stutuses that generally require feedback from the marketplace. When the system action is completed, the status will automatically change. No action is required.
Not foundThese are offers that cannot be send to marketplace for sale. Listings with this status were not found on the marketplace. The system regularly searches the marketplace for listings with the specified EAN.

Not sent

  • incomplete
  • multiple listings found
  • ready to send
  • sending error
Offer have been found on the marketplace, but have not yet been sent to marketplace for sale.  In the first instance, it is advisable to verify the correctness of the search and send to marketplace offers with Ready to send status. The remaining offers should be checked for the required data as only once these have been met can they be send to marketplace for sale.

Sent
inactive

  • out of stock
  • listing error
  • on hold
Offers have been send to marketplace for sale, but for some reason they are not active. The most common reason is that the products are sold out. However, it could be blocked products on the marketplace, or problems with the listing itself on the marketplace. Offers on hold are also in this group. The detailed status must be verified. If an offer once put up for sale has sold out, replenishing the stock will reactivate automatically. To resolve marketplace errors, please verify the instructions of the respective marketplace.
ActiveThese offers are available for sale. Manage price parameters and watch for sufficient stock availability.

Use offer statuses to sell more

Listing statuses have been added to manage listings more efficiently and thus sell more and more profitably. Every seller should manage offers in such a way that as many offers as possible are available for sale.

1. The first step, therefore, is to meet the prerequisites for listing on the marketplace, to verify the listing that has been found and to list it for sale. In practice, after the Nethansa Platform has searched for listings on the marketplace, listings with the sub-status 'ready to send' should be filtered out. This is the fastest way to start selling.

2. In the next step, we recommend dealing with offers with the sub-status 'multiple listings found' (applies to Amazon), for which a specific ASIN should be indicated. The 'incomplete' sub-status can mean one of two unfulfilled conditions:

  • Unable to send price,
  • Missing stock.

In order to send offers to the marketplace, it is necessary to enable price management on a given market. In order for the Nethansa Platform to be able to set a price for an offer, the data required for dynamic price setting (cost of the product or a fixed minimum price for the offer) must be added, or a fixed price must be entered; or, in the latter case, the stock of the product must be completed.  You only need to enter the stock once - to issue the offer. It is not necessary to manage the stock in the Nethansa Platform. It is worth bearing in mind the specifics of stock management on Amazon - the stock for a listing also updates the stock for listings that may exist on other marketplaces with the same SKU. Of course, for Amazon FBA listings you do not need to specify the stock status.

In the event of an unsuccessful attempt to send an offer to the marketplace, such an offer will receive a corresponding sub-status (sending error - if we receive feedback from the marketplace about the error). Often, the sending problem is caused by a brand or specific listing being blocked (you can see the error information in the 'Marketplace error' column). Although the process of unblocking listings by the marketplace is often time-consuming most often unblocking one listing allows you to remove the blockade from more listings blocked for the same reason.

Status filtering

The mechanics of filtering offers based on statuses are very similar to already existing filters.

For a selected main status VALUE, you can additionally select a SUB-VALUE from the available list of SUB-VALUE. If no SUB-VALUE is selected, the listings will be displayed with all SUB-VALUE options of the respective Master Status.
